We bring you the RIPPL Leaders for the New Zealand competitor universe to highlight some market trends and how funds performed over the last 12 months.

Our Key Observations:

  1. US equities lead the way for KiwiSaver funds, while International equities funds are well represented in the chase for alpha across KiwiSaver and Non-KiwiSaver Top 10’s.
  2. Robotics, Automation, and Disruption along with US ESG equities are themes represented across the Non-KiwiSaver Top 10. KiwiSaver Top 10 does feature a single sustainability thematic.
  3. While the November and December RIPPL Leaders NZ are similar, from a thematic perspective, the fund managers have moved around each month. Notably for the Growth fund in the KiwiSaver Top 10 for each month.
